Church Music Auditions keeps singing auditions for church music projects. The audition form is private while it is being tested. This page explains what that form collects and who can see it.
What you submit
The audition form asks for:
- Island or language region
- Project
- Full name
- Country or location
- Phone number, including the country code
- Email, which you may leave blank
- Voice part, which you may leave blank: Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass, Children, or Not sure. Children is a section label, not an age.
- Comments, which you may leave blank
- Your confirmation that authorized project reviewers, including reviewers in Salt Lake, may hear the recording and read the submission
- One audio or video recording
The form does not create an account for you, and it does not email you.
How the information is used
Your submission is used to receive the audition, to let coordinators organize projects, and to let reviewers listen and write notes. A project log may also be kept in a private Google spreadsheet. The recording stays on the audition server. A link in a spreadsheet still requires access to the private site.
Who can see it
Authorized coordinators and reviewers can see the auditions they are allowed to open. The private site is stored on a DigitalOcean server for this project.
A project log in Google can include your name, country, phone, email, project, voice part, file name, a protected link to the recording, status, and review notes.
A coordinator enables the Google connection. When it is connected, the server uses that Google account to create and update private project spreadsheets. Access is limited to files this application creates, or files the account holder selects for this application (drive.file), and to the email address of the connected account. It does not search the rest of that Google Drive. The sign-in token is stored on the server and is not published here.
One existing private spreadsheet for the combined project is separate. A service account can update that file only.
You can review or remove this application’s access to a Google account at Google Account permissions. Removing access stops future use of that account. It does not delete spreadsheets or rows that were already created.
How long it is kept
Auditions are not deleted on a schedule. A coordinator can delete an audition from the server. That removes the submission and its recording there. It does not remove a copy already written to a Google project log, and it does not erase backup copies of the server. Those copies have to be removed separately.

Google API data
Information received from Google APIs is the connected account’s email address and access to the Drive files this application creates or the account holder selects for it. That information is used to identify the connected account and to keep the private project logs.
Church Music Auditions does not sell personal information. It does not use this information for advertising or to train a model.
Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
